Control and auditability of user and application access
Ravnur simplifies the management of user and system access to video content with its integration to Microsoft Active Directory and Active Directory Federation Services, as well as with other LDAP v3 compliant directory services and SSO environments. Regardless of entry point, whether from outside the firewall via a mobile device, or inside the firewall through our Microsoft SharePoint webpart, users are authenticated prior to accessing content and their access is logged for audit purposes.
Other access security features include IP address logging, IP address blacklisting and whitelisting, and email domain restrictions during registration.
Content is encrypted prior to storage
All video assets are encrypted prior to storage so that no unprotected content resides on the content database. Additionally, organizations have the option to add watermarks to content during transcoding so that the source and ownership of the content is clear.
Digital Rights Management
Ravnur supports third party DRM packages such as Microsoft PlayReady and is actively testing to ensure that performance standards can be maintained across all of our supported operating systems and mobile devices.
Transmission
Transmission of user credentials as well as content is protected via Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption and authentication.
Governance
Predefined workflows and easily configurable workflow templates are integrated into the content creation and approval process to support corporate content governance policies. Additionally the reporting module allows administrators to review content for expirations, archiving and deletion.
