Capture – Video content comes from a variety of sources, whether from professional content creators or from employees contributing their know-how via video. Ravnur’s Video Management Platform accepts any video format and even includes its own screencasting applet to ensure that everyone can contribute.
Publish – Ravnur’s transcoding engine is preconfigured to accept the world’s most common video formats including but not limited to: .3g2, .3gp, .asf, .avi, .flv, .mov, .mp4, .mpeg, .mpg, .rm, .vob, .wav, .webm, .wmv, and .xesc. Output formats and bitrates are equally flexible to ensure coverage of all browsers and devices.
Store – Videos are stored securely in Microsoft’s Windows Azure cloud, which provides redundant storage in physically separated datacenters. Even if an entire datacenter goes down, content is still safe, available and accessible without interruption. Separate databases for each customer avoid data co-mingling.
Deliver – Viewers get the right format at the right bitrate to ensure a high quality viewing experience on any device or browser. We support HTML5 with Flash fallback as well as Silverlight. And global customers can take advantage of the Azure Content Delivery Network or other CDNs.
